Our wearable mimics the way a spine works in order to correct the users posture, we modeled it by researching the spine and recreating the same anatomical features that resemble the spine, ribs and clavicle. This sketch is a conceptual start in the process as it doesn't possess the complexity of the human anatomy.

Our research consisted of looking in depth on these wrists like wearables like bracelets but to be more specific a gauntlet since its more of a unique item. It doesn't have an ideal image when thought about so we decided to look into. what we found were these varied elements that seemed to be connected in their own ways with the patterns on them as shown below were the images we looked at for inspiration.

IDEA #1 HOWLING DRESS We focused our wearable into a sound and touch experience, primarily on the sounds made primarily by wind (when the wind howls) and it's impact on buildings. We derived that concept on the smaller scale of the human body. Combining it with elements similar to Vicktoria Modesta & Anouk's sonic wearable. We drew up a dress that emits a howl whenever it comes in contact with wind. Using a similar concept as when wind flows through pipes, we aim to incorporate "tunnel" elements to our wearable that will allow the passage of wind and create a "howl" and mixing it with the sensation of touch and sonic technology to contribute to the sensation. IDEA #2 SWARM EARPIECE The second idea came from the issue musicians and singers face of having their earpiece falling out mid-performance. A bracelet that can be used in self defense when one feels threatened. The bracelet contains a small reservoir of either pepper spray or ink that can temporarily blind and stop an aggressor, allowing for an escape to be possible. The spray can be activated using a ring that connects to the bracelet. 

Shoulder Wearable The design of this wearable is intended to be a therapy and fashion accessory that would treat bursitis. What is bursitis?  Bursitis is typically identified by localized pain or swelling, tenderness, and pain with motion of the tissues in the affected area. Shoulder bursitis: it's often accompanied by tendinitis of the tendons adjacent to the affected bursa in the shoulder. Shoulder bursitis causes focal tenderness of the inflamed tissues. It can also cause a "pinching" pain when the elbow is moved away from the body, referred to as an "impingement" sing. Examples of existing wearable Our Design Idea 

HELMET Designed to handle major crash energy generally contain a layer of crushable foam . In activities that involve forward speed on rough pavement, rounder helmets are safer , since they skid more easily. The straps keep the helmet on your head during the crash sequence.  Squishy fitting pads inside the helmet they are there for comfort. Smooth plastic skin holds the helmet's foam together as it crushes and helps it skid easily on the crash surface, rather than jerking your head to a stop. -"The Variant features a complex 3D-molded shield and an eye-port designed to maximize a rider's view of the road," explained Knauer.
