Raphael Lindor - Assignment 1A

Above is the insect I chose, it is a Photinus Pyralis Firefly. I find it mysterious and decided to see if i could depict it's beauty.

Find below the outcome of my try out for the firefly i chose. A combination of forms derived from exoskeletons and skin shape.

Using the Natural Contours of the human foot, we created a breathable shoe that allows natural movement. The shoe is easily placed on the foot and reinforces itself only in the most comfortable areas. One example of the simplicity we reached for can be seen in the example below.

I used 2 different orientations of my models. One in an L shape configuration focusing on more slender bridging, and the 2nd, with a side to side configuration focusing on heavier mass bridging. I used extrude, rotate, bridge, lattice box, insert edge loop, and move commands.
