An introduction to Maya polygon modeling. Using the following tools :


Use create/polygon primitive/cube to start and toggle bet. object mode|component mode to be able to edit it and add more geometric definition to it. Main polygon tools we saw are 
-edit mesh/extrude (open the dialog box and see option to extrude along curve - must add divisions so it matches curve's number of vertex points)
-mesh tools/insert edge loop
-mesh tools/append to polygon
-mesh tools/multi-cut
-soft selection

I used 2 different orientations of my models. One in an L shape configuration focusing on more slender bridging, and the 2nd, with a side to side configuration focusing on heavier mass bridging. I used extrude, rotate, bridge, lattice box, insert edge loop, and move commands.
