Assignment 2.B - Tim Cobo / Hieu Le

Here is the first prototype for our 3d printed shoes. We decided to look at traditonal basketball shoes while also looking at innovative ways to combine 3d printed software and design into our scheme. currently contains ankle support and features aerodynamic form. The sole was designed by Le, while I designed the top part. attached are some shoes we studied before hand.

Having an interest in spiders led us to look at a spider webs and take inspiration from their flexible yet strong structure. The spider itself also has very interesting qualities.  Putting these interests together to build a hat is a pursuit that is not only creative and inspired by nature, but it is also architectural in the sense that it is derived from a grid, has an order, and is an intelligent mode of structure.  primary sketches: evolved sketches:

We intent to create a 3D Print wearable that can help to check heart rate and blood circulation. It would move to represent the heart beat, and it would light up with different color according to the current heart levels (low, normal and high).
