The course will develop a series of coordinated exercises to allow the students to understand, use and control advanced geometries, 3D design skills and methods of digital fabrication, which they can incorporate seamlessly in studio.

Assignment 1B - Alexis Reyes
For Part B of Assignment 1 I combined my iterations of a thorned Wattle Cup Caterpillar and the torso shell of an Arizona Beetle. I used scale, move, extrude, and combine to come up with these solutions.
Using the Natural Contours of the human foot, we created a breathable shoe that allows natural movement. The shoe is easily placed on the foot and reinforces itself only in the most comfortable areas. One example of the simplicity we reached for can be seen in the example below.
