Maya Quiz - Faten Almosawi

Initial Sketch:

My intention was to create a vest/body piece that extends in the back and neck area.

Process Model:

I wanted the piece to be symmetrical so I knew I wanted to use the mirror command. I started with a torus and created one side of the piece that had space for an arm. I created different layers through bridges and by deleting faces and using the append to polygon tool or fill tool to close the object.

Edgy Alternative Model:

After using the mirror tool, I created a neck extension by extruding faces and moving them. And I created a bridge in the bottom of the front piece that extends from the piece.
My intentions in the sketch was to have an edgy piece. In this model I used the Smooth tool to the edgy form of this piece.

The Final Model

The final form that I was happy with was using the smoother edges, I felt like it would be more comfortable on the body form.
